A The Catalyst3750E series requires the use of an X2 adapter if you want to use twin ax or sfp+ to fiber whereas the 3750X will not. I've used the Cisco 3750E in 10GE applications. The 3750X Cisco switch also has allows you to add power supply redundancy using their stack power technology. If you lose a power supply on one switch, it can pull power from another stacked switch.
